Tanya Makes Headlines (Again!)

Last winter, Tanya and a few of her fellow knitter friends took it upon themselves to 'yarnbomb' Ottawa by anonymously placing scarves on a whole bunch of statues downtown, with tags on them that read "I'm not lost. If you're stuck in the cold, take this scarf to keep warm!". To their amazement, the story went mega-viral and only grew in virality once they were eventually outed.

Thus far, all these kind souls have managed to hang onto their anonymity but, surprisingly, the original story was revived and Tanya and her friends are once more in the spotlight. So much so that a group of Carleton University students have decided to make a documentary about their deeds! So, today, we wandered around downtown and put scarves wherever we could (there were so many already that we had a hard time!!!), while these documentarians wandered around downtown behind us, filming everything!

Needless to say, I couldn't be more proud of Tanya, our friends, and all the wonderful crafters of Ottawa working to make our town (and the world!) a better place to live.
